A Nurse Practitioner is an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) who has completed an additional master’s degree to provide care for patients beyond the scope of a registered nurse. Our nurse practitioners specialize in women’s health to give comprehensive healthcare to women. APNs can provide a range of health services: Obtaining a health history, including obstetric and gynecologic. Performing physical examinations and primary care procedures (pap smears, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, infertility, and menopause management.). Assessing, diagnosing, and treating disease risk factors and sexuality specific to women. Providing management and education for women in need of family planning and fertility control. Able to prescribe pharmacological agents and alternative therapies.
Rachel Kinnas, NP
Rachel Kinnas is certified as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner by the National Certification Corporation. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. She worked at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for 2 years as a nurse before coming to work at Woman to Woman. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program at The University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012. Rachel resides in Wheaton with her husband and daughter. She prides herself in providing health promotion, disease prevention, and comprehensive care to women across their lifespan. She has a special interest in adolescent health regarding family planning and infection management.
Allison Schacht, NP
Allison Schacht is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree from Illinois State University, her Masters Degree from the University of Phoenix, and later completed the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Lewis University in Oakbrook, IL. Prior to coming to Woman to Woman, Allison worked as a Registered Nurse on a post-surgical/trauma step-down unit for two years, followed by six years of ER nursing. She resides in Lake in the Hills, IL with her husband Bradley and dog Tripp. She really enjoys spending time outdoors and socializing with family and friends. She is an advocate for Women’s Health across the lifespan by providing holistic and personalized care through collaboration with her colleagues. Her primary focus is on preventative care, disease management, and health maintenance. One of her professional goals is to educate her patients and to have them play an active roll in supporting their own overall wellness.
Lindsay Loehner, NP
Lindsay Loehner is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She received her Associates in Science degree (AS) at McHenry County College, her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, and her Masters of Science in Nursing degree (MSN) at Northern Illinois University. Prior to coming Woman to Woman, Lindsay’s background included working, for many years, in an emergency Department as a registered nurse (RN). Lindsay was born and raised in McHenry County and continues to live locally with her husband and children. Her particular healthcare interests include, but are not limited to, health maintenance and disease prevention, family planning (both with and without contraception), adolescent and teen health. Her goals as a nurse practitioner are to provide very good, thorough care, ensure patient satisfaction and to optimize patient health and wellness.
